oh my gosh--- i actually phoned in some votes for Syesha (after i voted 50 times for David Cook of course). i can't even believe it myself. where has this girl been hiding? she looked so good this week and she sounded great. of course i am betting (sadly) that she will go home this week based on the fact that this is more a popularity contest than anything else. josh was still determined to vote for Jason, no matter how sucky he was last night. Jason really should go. Brooke was barely more tolerable. the worst of the evening i have to say was David Archuleta----he BUTCHERED one of my favorite Neil Diamond songs (sweet caroline)--- i was so sure the judges were going to be critical, but no-- they LOVED it. and i thought his rendition of "America" was pathetic. why they want him to win the whole thing is beyond me! the highlight of the evening was watching an obviously drunk (or drugged) Paula Abdul criticizing a performance that hadnt even happened yet! classic!
cant believe it was Karly--and that it was Karly and Syesha in the bottom two--- and that i am even saying this. finally these two girls really bring it and doesn't do them any good. all i can say is Jason and Brook better step up their game....
oh my gosh-- up is down--black is white-- Syesha and Karly were awesome! Brooke and Jason were terrible!!! David Archuleta didnt bug me nearly as much---- what is going on!! all i can say is that if DAVID COOK hadnt rocked my world, i probably would have voted for Syesha (cant believe i am saying that!) of course, i voted for David Cook-- what a night for him! he really deserves to win the whole thing! he is just awesome! of course my son Joshua is a major Jason fan so i had to vote twice as much for David to knock out all the Jason votes he put in (if that makes sense). i think Brooke will leave tonite. that restart was inexcusable. and her voice is not as lovely as it was at the beginning. she just looks scared every week.
i havent developed all of his film yet, but here is a group shot that the People to People organization gave us--
well, i am really shocked that Syesha has managed to squeak by another week. not even in the bottom two!!! i am not too sorry to see Kristy leave, she was getting better, but certainly not star material. and i was getting tired of her bogus 'i had to sell my horse to audition for Idol' sob story (which they pimped big time last night). for someone who signed a record deal with her friend Britney Spears and has performed numerous times in Nashville, it is a little hard to believe she couldnt front the cash to fly to Pennsylvania (and why PA?? couldnt she have auditioned on the west coast-- much cheaper-- she could have taken a bus, or hitched a ride perhaps). yes Kristy, i hope that mean man sells you back your favorite horse (how many horses do you have anyway??). glad Brooke will be around another week. Karly is back to showing off those lovely sausage arms (too bad, she really looked nice the other night). bob says if David Archuleta wins American Idol he is NEVER watching the show again. also, is David Cook getting better looking? or is he just looking better now that Michael Johns is gone? either way, he is quite appealing. i hope THAT David wins it all!!
if Syesha does not go home this week, i really may have to stop watching! how boring can a minute and thirty seconds be?? she may not be the worst, but the dullest for sure. i would say for certain she will be in the bottom three with Brooke and Karly (sleeves-- wow what a concept! she looked like a different person). somehow i think Kristy sounded good enough to get enough votes last night. the guys---if it were up to me, David Archuleta would have gone home weeks ago. i do not like his singing and i didnt like his rendition of the song last night (and even though Randy said it was perfectly sung- it seems to me he screwed up a couple of words toward the end). that said, i though Jason Castro was very good (i like luaus:) and David Cook is back and was AMAZING!
i can't believe that Michael Johns is out!!!! the show must be fixed! how could Syesha get more votes? it is just not possible--- he had to have had legions of young (and old) girls all over America voting for him based on his hotness alone. can Karly actually have a bigger fan base? let's be real. i cannot comment on "idol gives back" as i didnt watch the program. i also want to apologize for the 'mean streak' in my previous idol posts- apparently if offended some people. i will tone it down in the coming weeks--sorry!
Inspirational? this week was a borderline suckfest. the only shining light was Jason Castro-- you just had to smile when he stepped out with that ukulele. not great, but probably my favorite last night, other than Michael Johns (i am still not sure if i like him because he sings good, or because he looks good, probably the latter...). my prediction, once again is that SYESHA MERCADO goes home tonite (sorry Michele:). i hate that song. i couldnt stand Fantasia (that the was the worst AI season ever, even worse than last year). Boring Boring BORING! rounding out the bottom three will be Karly Smithson (bizarre song-- bad singing---super lame-- and i am sorry, she NEEDS TO COVER THOSE ARMS!!!!) and i am sorry to say, Brooke White (sweet, but weak, bordering on sappy this week). Pasty should be in the bottom three, but i think her performance this week may save her. she is no Martina McBride, but it sounded good. Archuleta was totally boring, but was pimped to the hilt as usual. the biggest disappointment was David Cooke. what the heck song was he singing????? i never heard it before, and i never want to hear it again. major self-indulgent choice. hopefully his previous performances will keep him safe this week. 'nuff said

Well, it was a big day in warwick yesterday! the parade lined up at 9:15am, went through town, ending up at the ball field, opening pitch ceremony followed, ran home for a quick lunch, then back to the ball field for Noah's first game (he pitched 3 innings- see photos!), back home for 30 minutes, then back to the field for Josh's first game (he was in left field- seriously- so there were no exciting action shots of him:( all in all, we got home around 8pm. mind you, it was a chilly 50 degree day, so not the best baseball conditions. hopefully next weekend will be warmer!
i want to know who is voting for Syesha??????? how could Brooke White be in the bottom three???? it's a travesty! while i agree that ramiele's time was up, i was shocked about Brooke. my kids also want to know why "Pasty" is still here (that is what they call Kristy Lee Cook). i dont know what is going on....at least David Cook was there and looked well. and oh my gosh--- Karly wore sleeves, well short sleeves, but they were sleeves!!!! she still looked like trailer trash, but it was an improvement- and, i absolutely loved Dolly Parton (even though she looks like she stepped out of the wax museum) and the song she sang! praise God that someone is not afraid to sing about Jesus on national television!

it has to be Syesha Mercado!!! if she had only stuck to the Dolly Parton (original) version of the song, instead of trying to be another Whitney-wannabe. she is completely lame and forgettable and i cant imagine who is going out of their way to call in for her. Ramiele disappointed again, but was better than her previous weeks. Kristy Lee 'superplant' Cook was fairly decent but will probably join Syesha and Ramiele in the bottom three. i would have put Carly Smithson in the bottom three based on the fact that i find it hard to look at her sausage tattoo arms (we all get that your husband is a tattoo artist already) and cheap clothes (thank you Simon!) but she will probably garner some pity votes after the clothing comment. David Archuleta i can barely even watch anymore, that giddy fake smile and laugh are enough to make me ill. cute talented kid, but he had his shot. i think Brooke White sounded pretty, but not her best week. she could have done alot with "jolene". the remaining guys are NAILING it! David Cook- awesome! (pray for him as he was hospitalized right after the show last night per TMZ- apparently his blood pressure was really high, he was treated and released) Jason Castro- excellent! Michael Johns- HOT HOT HOT! and his singing was pretty good too:)
