i stupidly forgot to bring my camera on Mother's day last week, but luckily Liz sent me this cute one she snapped of Annabel and Cameron outside the barn (he is crying because he is afraid of the horses!)
i am hoping against hope that Archuleta is out tonight--- it would be a real "may sweeps" shocker--- but of course we all know the show is fixed and the producers obviously have made their choice. realistically i am sure Syesha will be going although she has really gotten much better (despite last night's near lap dance on the chair). i honestly wouldnt even be upset if she won the whole thing. i wouldn't be thrilled, but i wouldn't want to throw up either. it is so obvious who deserves to win American Idol this year--David Cook is beyond awesome. a true star. Archuleta is a whiny, gasping, one-note wonder. who he appeals to is beyond me! i can see why nothing ever came of his big "star search" win 4 years ago. oh well---- as long as Cook doesn't go home tonight they have me for another week!
if David Cook doesn't win this year, i seriously may boycott this show. if David Archuleta wins, i will remove it from my season pass list forever. Cook was great last night, and i loved his 'hungry like the wolf'--despite what the judges thought. i loved Syesha's first song (proud mary) but the second one was way too boring and political (was she actually comparing her 'making it to the final four' with the civil rights movement?????) please! Jason Castro was so bad last night that even joshua wouldnt vote for him. his 'could care less' attitude is really played. and last night, he seriously could have cared less i think. Archuleta is awful. really awful. he sounds exactly the same in every song. he ruined a beautiful Elvis song. and he says he grew up singing 'stand by me' to his dog??? i dont know who is voting for this kid. tonight- i think it will be Jason-- but i am still hoping it is Archuleta (you never know with this show..)
memorial day this year was totally awesome-- the kids had off for 5 days-- bob took us into the city on the train and we had the best time! we had lunch at Ruby Foos, walked around Central Park, took the subway to ground zero and South Street Seaport, then back to Broadway for a show- Xanadu - which was excellent! it was a great day, and a great weekend overall! there is also a photo of the boys taken at the NASCAR race in Richmond, and a picture of Henry and Annabel at our memorial day bbq----
